All plants are guaranteed to be true to name and in good health at time of purchase.

Occasionally, a plant may be mislabeled.  If you have purchased a plant that is not true to name,  I will replace the plant with the correct variety or provide a full refund if the plant is no longer available.

I cannot guarantee that your plant will overwinter because of numerous conditions beyond my control.  However, if you carefully follow the planting instructions available with every order  and properly mulch plants where recommended, I will consider every failure on a case-by-case basis because my customers' satisfaction and success is critical to my own success.


I will require 50% prepayment for plants and bulbs preordered for Fall delivery.  In the event of crop failure, you will, of course, receive a full refund on any plants not delivered.

All preordered plants are subject to availability.  I will promptly inform you if a variety is sold out or unavailable.

Shipping and Delivery

Potted plants or bare root peonies can be picked up at the farm site or at the Helena Farmers Market on Saturdays, beginning in May through mid-October.  Otherwise, arrangements must be made by the purchaser to pick them up.

Peony roots can be shipped within Montana.  Delivery will only be made by express or priority mail (two-day delivery or less).  I guarantee that plants shipped in such a manner will arrive in good condition.  Private Stock Perennials will fully refund or replace any plants deemed to be in poor condition by the buyer if the plant(s) are promptly returned.
